Arpin Plaids: "Drap de Bonneval"
The « Bonneval Fabric », the very first woven cloth produced by Arpin, owes its name to the « Pope of Bonneval-sur-Arc », a famous high mountain guide during the 1900’s. Furthermore, a rigorous selection of alpine wool allows an incomparable quality and a greater longevity. This fabric is also used for the traditional dresses of the ‘Compagnie des Guides’ of Chamonix-Mont Blanc.

Arpin is a 200 year old company. The gestures of the masters of wool have virtually remained the same since 1817 and it is now Jacques Arpin, the 8th generation of the name, who perpetuates the family tradition.
